DANUSH

Danush (Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja) born on 28th July 1983. He is an Indian film actor, lyricist, singer, Producer. He made his Tamil film debut in thulluvatho illamai(2001). Following a matured and innovative performances in  Kadhal Konden(2003), Pudhupettai(2006), Polladhavan(2007), Adukalam(2011), Three(2012). Out of 25 films he acted Adukalam, Polladhavan, yaaradi nee mohini and Kadhal konden was declared as block buster movies. Due to his hardwork and dedication to acting he received the national award for best actor for the film Adukalam. He received his international attention through his track “why this kolaveri dii”. He also made his hindi film debut in Raanjhanna in the year 2013 which crossred 100 crores within two weeks.

DANUSH IN POLLADHAVAN

Danush was born to Indian film director Kasthuri Raja. Danush completed his schooling in Thai sathya Matriculation, Saligramam. Danush was forced in to film industry by his brother Selvaraghavan, also an Indian film director. Also we know that danush made his debut in Thulluvadho illamai which was directed by his own father Kasthuri Raja.

Danush was married to Aishwarya daughter of Rajnikanth, Super star of Indian film industry. They had two sons named yatra and lingesh.

ACTING CAREER

2001-present

DANUSH IN KADHAL KONDEN

Danush debutted in the Tamil film Thulluvatho illamai directed by Kasthuri Raja. Then he acted in the film called Kadhal Konden directed by his own brother Selvaraghavan which turned his acting career. In this film danush was portrayed as mentally disturbed boy, who later yearned love of his friend and eventually turning possessive to her. This film moulded him as a fine actor.Later on he acted in thiruda thirudi which was a commercial hit.

Following to Thiruda thirudi, he acted in Pudhukkottaiyillirunthu saravanan, Ramana’s Sullan, Dreams, Devathaiyai kanden and Balu Mahendra’s Adhu oru kana kaalam. All these films fell short of market and a huge loss to distributors. In this mean time, the actor waiting for an opportunity to prove that what he is capable of and came through the debutant director Vetri Maran.

DANUSH IN POLLADHAVAN

Polladhavan directed by Vetri Maran which became a mile stone in danush’s acting career. This film was a super duper hit all over tamil nadu. In this film, Vetri maran shown danush as a lover of pulsar and later when his bike has been stolen he turned in to a action hero. He also acted in a film called Yaaradi nee mohini directed by Jawahar which became a commercial hit.

DANUSH IN ADUKALAM

Then came the film Adukalam. This was also directed by Vetri Maaran which is a massive hit of the year 2011. This  film is all about the roaster fight and an ego of the master towards his own labour. Adukalam made danush a leading actor in the film industry and bagged six national awards including best actor for danush, best director, best choreographer etc. Then he acted in Mappillai, venghai, sedan which were his decent hits.  

DANUSH IN RAANJHANA

His next film was another collaboration with his brother, Mayakkam enna that received positive reviews from critics. His only 2012 release was 3directed by his wife, aishwarya danush with Sruthi haasan. The film became a commercial success.  In 2013 he debuted in Bollywood with Raanjhaana opposite Sonam kapoor. A romantic drama film, directed by Anand L. Rai it was declared a 'Hit' by box office india. His recent film Mariyan opposite Parvati menon, was a moderate commercial success. The film revolved around a story of human survival adapted from a newspaper article of a real-life crisis event, when three oil workers from Tamil Nadu were kidnapped and taken hostage in Sudan by mercenaries.
